I was having a dream and someone used an expression that made perfect sense.
They said: "Anonymity does not shade a lamp."
It meant that some bright idea would not remain hidden simply because the inventor is unknown.
Brilliance will out.
I can find no trace of such an expression and somehow my brain made this up during my dream.
